You don’t have to spend money because you have it

I have always had a strange (& unhealthy) relationship with money. As a naturally impatient person, my brain struggles with accepting “reasons to wait” when I want something. This predisposition is particularly useful at work, where pushing things to the finish line ASAP is largely desirable — but when it comes to adulting, it’s not the best trait to have.

A key contributor to this attitude is my negative sentiment towards “the need to plan an expense”. Having to think about [getting] something I want makes me feel bad — as though any pre — purchase hesitation is some kind of failure at adulthood.
